St Ultan’s is a co-educational school in Cherry Orchard, Ballyfermot
catering for children from Junior Infants to Sixth Class, including
three classes for children with autism.
St Ultan’s first opened in * with **Apply on
the website** children and 4 teachers and has grown rapidly since then
with now over * children, **Apply on the
website** teachers/special needs assistants, *
Care plus other admin and catering staff. The primary school is part
of a unique (in this country) innovative, and integrated Education/
Care partnership/service for the families and children of Cherry
Orchard. In St Ultan’s Primary School the children are given
enriched learning experiences through creative, progressive, and
innovative approaches on the Primary Curriculum.
The school and its campus is a happy and safe place where every child
matters. There is a strong partnership between the school and the
extensive care service that operates on the same campus. There are two
Boards of Directors in the campus, one for the school (Board of
Management) and one for the Childcare Project.
_MR. RUAIRI MCGINLEY_ is the Chairperson of the two Boards, and they
work well together with shared objectives.
The St Ultan’s Educational and Care Campus has a very important part
to play in the lives of families and children in the Cherry Orchard
area and has done so since its inception in *.
